Adam & Ida – Almost a Fairytale tells the story of Polish-Jewish twins separated as children during the Holocaust. When the two strangers meet 53-years later, they are convinced they have found each other at last. Berenshtein depicts the true story of Leonid Berenshtein, the Ukrainian commander of a partisan battalion in World War II, who located the secret facility where the Nazis were developing their last hope for victory.
