INVISIBLE YEARS screening in Yale on November 2nd

Join for a special screening of Invisible Years (dir. Kira Dane, Katelyn Rebelo) on Sunday, November 2, 2025, 2:00–3:30 PM at the Slifka Center at Yale.

Based on author and designer Daphne Geismar’s discovery of family letters and diaries from the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Invisible Years brings these hidden stories to life through animation, archival footage, and music by harpist Mary Lattimore. The film explores themes of memory, loss, and resilience.

The program includes remarks by Jean Silk (JCARR), Stephen Naron (Fortunoff Video Archive), a presentation by Daphne Geismar, the film screening, and a Q&A.

Proceeds will benefit the Jewish Community Alliance for Refugee Resettlement (JCARR), supporting refugee families in New Haven.
