ORPHAN Released in Israeli Cinemas

Orphan (dir: László Nemes, prod: Mike Goodridge, Ildikó Kemény) was released in Israeli cinemas on September 24. Set in Budapest in 1957, the film follows a 12-year-old Jewish boy whose idealized image of his late father is shattered when another man appears and claims to be his biological father.

Inspired by the childhood of Nemes’s father, the drama explores the lasting effects of the Holocaust and the failed Hungarian uprising of 1956 on one family. Read more about the film in The Jerusalem Post.
