Hold On to Your Music – A Mother’s Legacy (dir: Josh Aronson, Adam R. Wood) will screen at the 35th Heartland Film Festival, taking place October 8 – 18 in Indianapolis.
The film recounts the story of pianist Lisa Jura, who escaped Nazi-occupied Vienna at age 14 aboard the Kindertransport, and explores the musical legacy she passed on to her daughter, concert pianist Mona Golabek.
Mona Golabek will perform before the screening on October 11 at the Indy Art Center’s Frank Basile Theater. The director and producer, Josh Aronson, will join for a post-screening Q&A.
The October 13th screening at Living Room Theaters will be followed by a Q&A with Golabek. For more information, please visit the Heartland Film Festival website.
