The Woman from Hamburg (dir: Michael Masarof, prod: Sharon Barnes, Michael Masarof) is among the ten films chosen for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s 2025 Short Film Showcase, selected as one of five for Excellence in Filmmaking. Set in 1943, the film tells the story of a young Jewish woman and the gentile couple who hide her, the sacrifices they make to stay alive, and the aftermath many years later.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation Short Film Showcase will be held on June 25 and June 26, 2025 in New York at the Foundation’s Robin Williams Center, and in Los Angeles at the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists, for audiences of SAG-AFTRA members and invited industry guests.
