On Feb. 4, The Return from the Other Planet (dir: Assaf Lapid, prod: Saar Yogev, Naomi Levari) will screen at 7pm, followed by a Q+A with the director. The film tells the story of Yechiel De-Nur after his liberation from Auschwitz, when he starts writing books under the pseudonym Ka-Tzetnik. The film recently was awarded 5 Awards at the Jaipur International Film Festival. Tickets here.
On Feb. 11, Plunderer (dir: Hugo MacGregor) will screen at 7pm, followed by a Q+A with producer John Friedman. Filmed for more than five years in seven countries, Plunderer is the untold story of restitution, revealing how Nazi art dealers continued to prosper while Jewish families struggled to regain the art that was stolen from them during the war.
