The Most Precious of Cargoes (dir: Michel Hazanavicius, prod: Michel Hazanavicius, Patrick Sobelman) will screen at the Haifa International Film Festival in Israel on Jan. 9 and 11 and as the Opening Night Film at Animation First Film Festival 2025 in New York on Jan. 21, with a post-screening Q+A featuring Michel Hazanavicius.
The film follows a Polish woodcutter who discovers a baby girl that was thrown from a train by her Jewish father to save her. The woodcutter and his wife take care of the child despite knowing that this could lead to their death.
