Rebecca Snow’s THE BOY IN THE WOODS Screening Sept. 22 at Center for Jewish History

After a successful festival run, The Boy in the Woods (dir: Rebecca Snow, producers: Jonathan Bronfman, Robert Budreau) is coming to NYC. Winner of the Forest City Film Festival’s Best Feature Film and Audience Awards, the film documents the true-life story of Maxwell Smart, a Jewish boy who survived the Nazi occupation of Eastern Europe by hiding out in the forest.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with writer and director Rebecca Snow, lead actor Richard Armitage, and the survivor on whose memoir the film is based, Maxwell Smart. The discussion will be moderated by Annette Insdorf, host of Reel Pieces at the 92nd Street Y. Tickets available here.
