THE LONELY CHILD World Premiere at the 46th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

The Lonely Child (dir: Marc Smolowitz, prod: Alix Wall) will premiere on July 18, at the Castro Theatre and on July 29, at the Piedmont Theatre in San Francisco. The film follows the history of the Yiddish lullaby Dos Elnte Kind (“The Lonely Child”), which was written in the Vilna Ghetto during the Holocaust. It documents a family’s effort to trace the song’s origins and development and includes contributions from artists and scholars examining memory, Holocaust resistance, and the preservation of Yiddish culture.
