Orphan (dir: László Nemes, prod: Mike Goodridge, Gregory Jankilevitsch, Ildikó Kemény) will be presented in a special preview screening hosted by UK Jewish Film as part of its year-round program.
Set in post-war Hungary, the film follows a young Jewish boy, Andor, who is reunited with his Holocaust-survivor mother, whose understanding of his family is disrupted by the arrival of a man claiming to be his father. As he searches for the truth, unresolved trauma and questions of identity begin to surface.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release in the UK and Ireland on May 15, 2026. The special preview screening will take place on May 6 at Phoenix Cinema in London and will serve as a fundraiser supporting UK Jewish Film’s educational program addressing antisemitism.
