Claims Conference–Supported Films to Screen at PJFM

Two Claims Conference–supported films will be featured at upcoming screenings presented by Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media (PJFM).

My Underground Mother (dir/prod: by Marisa Fox, prod: Deborah Shaffer, Kelly Sheehan) will have its Pennsylvania premiere at an upcoming screening highlighting a personal story shaped by the Holocaust and its aftermath. The film underscores the enduring impact of survivor experiences across generations. A post-film discussion will follow with the film’s subject and director, Marisa Fox.

Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold,  (dir/prod: Abby Ginzberg) will also be presented as a Pennsylvania premiere. The documentary explores the life of Henrietta Szold, founder of Hadassah, whose work established a healthcare system treating Arabs and Jews equally and helped rescue thousands of children from Nazi Europe. A talkback with the director, Abby Ginzberg, will follow the screening.
