The Strength of Courage film series concluded on Monday, April 20, with a closing night program at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, held in the Celeste and Armand Bartos Screening Room.
The evening began with a reception, followed by a special introduction by Holocaust survivor Celia Kener and screening of Resistance: They Fought Back (dir: Paula Apsell, Kurt Wolfinger, producers: Lisa Goodfellow, Owen Palmquist). The program continued with a panel discussion featuring co-director Paula S. Apsell, scholar Michael Berenbaum, and Steven Meed, son of resistance fighter Vladka Meed. The discussion was moderated by PBS entertainment critic Neil Rosen.
