The Claims Conference supported films Giado: The Holocaust in the Desert (dir: Golan Rise, Sharon Yaish, producer: Hagar Alroey) and Vishniac (dir: Laura Bialis, producers: Laura Bialis, Roberta Grossman) screened at the Cincinnati Jewish & Israeli Film Festival this past February. Giado: The Holocaust in the Desert grants us the opportunity to peer into the harrowing existence endured by the inmates of Giado – a concentration camp situated in the heart of the Libyan Desert.
